The Slumdog Tiger by Danny Adiga

Have you ever noticed the similarities and differences between two great works related to India?

Slumdog Millionaire- a movie, and
The White Tiger- a novel

One by Danny Boyle, other by Arvind Adiga.

One tells the story of Jamal Malik from Mumbai Slums, other regarding Balram Halwai from Laxmangarh (so called dark India by Mr Adiga).

So many differences but still.........

Both released in the same year.

Both deal with poor India (the REAL INDIA for the West).

Both are at thier best in criticising India in every possible way.

Both show that India is still slave of poverty, corruption, religious differences etc.

And for all this criticism, both have got prizes. 8 Oscars and 1 Man Booker prize.

The point I want to prove is that the World (consisting of Developed countries) appreciates the persons who are at its best in criticising India.

We should be recognised for our positives now.
